Huge buzz surrounded the news that a brand-new Gold Ranger would be joining Power Rangers Samurai on the episode airing April 30, also the first episode to premiere in a new time slot of Saturdays at 12 pm. TV Guide.com was the first to reveal an exclusive clip and image of the Gold Ranger in never-before-seen Mega Mode, causing a stir among the Power Ranger fans the week before his debut.

Fans went crazy for the new Gold Ranger, and the show not only retained its #1 spot, but also garnered a 16 % ratings increase with Kids 2-11- a series high, beating the ratings of even the series premiere! It was also the second highest rated episode with boys 6-11 with a 6.23 rating and boys 9-14 with a 3.52 rating.

Played by Steven Skyler (who also appeared on a "Glee" episode as a Dalton Academy Warbler during their debut performance of "Teenage Dream"), the Gold Ranger/Antonio uses his Samurai power to fight evil by mastering the element of Light.

Not many kids get to leave class early to meet their heroes, but the students of Reagan Elementary in Rogers, Arkansas were the envy of millions of young fans across the nation when they got a surprise visit from the Samurai Power Rangers and a check for $10,000! It was all part of Power Rangers emPOWER's in-school program, designed to help kids get kids fit and healthy. Through Power Rangers emPOWER, kids are taking on Ranger Training in their gym classes at school, in their after-school programs, and in their own backyards as they learn to eat right, exercise and apply Ranger values like teamwork and friendship in their daily lives. Taking time out from saving the world, the Samurai Power Rangers joined President Barack Obama and his family, celebrity guests including Will Smith and Kelly Ripa, and thousands of D.C. residents for a day of adventure at the traditional Easter Egg Roll celebration at the White House. The all-new smash hit series Power Rangers Samurai took the United Kingdom by storm when it made its debut across the pond on Nickelodeon UK on Saturday, May 7. The series will air regularly on Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 am and 4:00 pm.

Also starting May 7, Canadians can catch the series in English on YTV (in addition to Nick Canada where it launched in February), and in French on Teletoon French since May 1.

Mary arrives with extensive experience in technical services and post-production management, including over 10 years at Sony Pictures Entertainment where she served as Director of Library Operations. In her new role at Saban Brands, Mary will lead technical and operational efforts in the areas of content management including the operational workflow for worldwide distribution, vendor relations and asset mastering, storage and security.
