With Power Rangers Samurai launching in the USA on Nickelodeon (Monday, February 7, 2011, 8:00pm) we are boldly entering a new era for this evergreen brand. We'll be updating you on our launch activities over the coming weeks, so stay tuned. Paul Frank continues to evolve and grow. We had terrific Holiday sales results and are preparing to debut our new branding, design and content strategies at the MAGIC Apparel Show this month.

"Power Rangers Samurai" Tune-In Spots Appearing On Nickelodeon, Including The Channel's Times Square Billboard

In anticipation of the February 7 premiere of "Power Rangers Samurai," Nickelodeon continues to broadcast the show's action-packed trailer across Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, TeenNick and Nick-at-Nite. Promotions were also scheduled around high-impact programming including the "Glen Martin, DDS" premiere week (featuring celebrity guests Jimmy Fallon and Elijah Wood), "House Of Anubis" premiere weekend, "Big Time Rush" and "Victorious" premieres and the "Nicktoons New Year's Even Best Fest Marathon."

The trailer also received high-impact exposure just in time for New Year's Eve when Nickelodeon began running promo spots on their digital billboard in New York City's bustling Times Square.

Power Rangers Facebook Page "Explodes" In Popularity

All Facebook.com - an unofficial resource to the juggernaut social media website Facebook - celebrated the recent rise in popularity of the official Power Rangers Facebook page, the go to Facebook resource for Power Rangers fans, by including it in their list of "The World's Most Explosive Page." The page gained an impressive following of 103,250 fans in just one week, nearly doubling its total amount of followers.



Bandai Showcases "Power Rangers" Samurai Toy Line At The 2011 American International Toy Fair



Bandai will highlight the fall edition of their toys from the all-new "Power Rangers Samurai" series at the 2011 American International Toy Fair in February. Working closely with the producers of the television series, Bandai has recreated the superheroes in perfect detail with each Samurai Power Ranger figurine featuring a life-like replica of the Ranger's weapon. Additionally, the Megazord, a monster toy that can be created by connecting the 5 individual Ranger Zords, will surely make every boy's holiday wish list.

Official Premiere Of "Power Rangers Samurai" Exclusive Announcement Featured In TV Guide's Winter Preview Issue

Prior to the official press release announcement of the date and time of the "Power Rangers Samurai" premiere episode, TV Guide gave its readers the exclusive, including it in their list of "must-see kid TV." The story also features an interview with Elie Dekel and an image of the new Samurai Rangers.

Samurai Power Ranger Team Debuts At 2010 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

The world's most successful kids action series returned with a bang when the Samurai Power Rangers descended upon the streets of New York during the 84th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade® on November 25th. Making their first U.S. appearance as a team, all five Samurai Power Rangers escorted a spectacular 14-foot high Planet Earth balloon through the streets of Manhattan for the parade, which was nationally broadcasted live on NBC.

The Ranger's New York City trip also included participating in the NYC Firefighters Children's Holiday Party at Toys R Us in Times Square, attending the New York City Rescue Mission's Thanksgiving Feast, visiting area children's hospitals, appearances in the windows of "Good Morning America" and "The Early Show," and making cameos in various New York City hot spots.

The momentum continued as the Samurai Rangers also made appearances in the annual Hollywood Christmas Parade, The America's Children's Holiday Parade in Oakland and the San Jose Holiday Parade.

Samurai Power Rangers to Take Over the World

The Samurai Power Rangers went global during their trip to Miami, appearing at The National Association Of Television Program Executives (NATPE). On top of closing additional deals with Latin America, Saban Brands announced at NATPE that MarVista Entertainment finalized an agreement with Mexico's leading terrestrial broadcaster, Grupo Televisa, for rights to air "Power Rangers Samurai." The series is scheduled to premiere on Grupo Televisa in October 2011.

"Power Rangers Samurai" will also be aired in Canada as MarVista Entertainment has licensed the show to Canada's Corus Entertainment. The all-new series will premiere on Nickelodeon (Canada) with subsequent broadcasts on YTV.

The Rangers traveled to Germany to appear at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in early February. Stay tuned as more global broadcasts deals and licensing partners will be announced soon!

Limited Edition Nestlé® Crunch Paul Frank Bar

For the Kid in You. Nestlé Crunch and Paul Frank satisfied the holiday sweet tooth with a limited edition Nestlé Crunch Paul Frank chocolate bar. Marking Paul Frank's debut in the confections retail environment, this one-of-a-kind tasty treat was sold at retailers nationwide and also gifted to customers at all six U.S. Paul Frank stores during the month of December.

The campaign was a sweet success garnering mass media and consumer attention through press materials, contests, ads, and more. On November 1 a press release officially announcing the chocolate bar was disseminated through PR Newswire securing top market placements including USA Today, Yahoo!, License!, and Food and Beverage Newswire, among others. From November 1 thru December 31, a stocking stuffer sweepstakes was conducted through the Nestlé Crunch facebook page containing over 330,000 fans, allowing fans several opportunities to win a variety of prize bundles filled with items from both Nestlé Crunch and Paul Frank. In addition, the limited edition confection was featured in on-air ads from 11/17 - 11/21 on Los Angeles' #1 hit music station KIIS-FM, as well as Ryan Seacrest's exclusive segment, Ryan's Buyin', on 11/17.

"12 Days of Giveaways"




Saban Brands and Paul Frank, spread holiday cheer during The Ellen DeGeneres Show on December 9 granting everyone in the audience one of their colorful classic beach cruisers. Showcasing a fun-filled display with several versions of Paul Frank bicycles and Julius plush, the segment aired during "12 Days of Giveaways," Ellen's highest rated show roping in nearly 5 million viewers. The piece was also posted to Ellen's webpage with nearly 5 million unique visitors and social media outlets including facebook with more than 3.4 million fans and twitter with over 5.4 million followers.

Paul Frank Goes Global

Saban Brands continues to grow the worldwide business for Paul Frank through its network of licensing agents across the globe including their latest partnership with Haven Licensing. The licensing agency, which represents some of the world's top children's brands including The Simpsons, Spider-man, Star Wars, Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder and Sesame Street, will represent the popular lifestyle brand in Australia and New Zealand.

In addition, Saban Brand's agent, Asiana, has played an integral role in securing several influential licensees in Korea. The latest partners include Wholehauss, for master apparel, Taeyang for stationery and back-to-school items, and Forevertime for watches and clocks.

Saban Brands Promotes Key Executives To Kick Off 2011

Saban Brands LLC began 2011 with the promotion of two executives, Brian Casentini and David Shuman, who have been integral to the company's growth and success. Casentini has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Development & Production and Shuman has been elevated to Senior Vice President of Finance & Operations. Both executives joined the Saban Brands team last year in the midst of the company acquiring the popular brands Power Rangers and Paul Frank.

Casentini's overall experience and creativity helped enable the success in producing Power Rangers Samurai and he has been integral to all aspects of development, casting, production, network relations and so much more. Shuman's experience, talent, dedication and leadership helped establish the company's financial structure very quickly.
